🌿 Meet the Team: Jessica Henderson, LMT Bringing heart, healing, and a love for Alaska to every massage session.

Jessica Henderson, one of our licensed massage therapists who combines technical skill with genuine compassion to help clients find relief and restoration, is back at New Seasons Bodywork after spending some much needed time with her new baby. We are excited to have her back.

From working with Guided Tours to Guiding Healing Before stepping into the world of massage therapy, Jessica spent time working with tour companies, managing recreational adventures for guests eager to experience the magic of the outdoors. That sense of wonder—and care for people—has never left her. In fact, it’s what inspired her to pursue massage therapy as a way to continue supporting others, this time through touch and therapeutic care.

A Solid Foundation of Education and Skill Jessica graduated from Rexburg College of Massage Therapy in 2023, where she developed her hands-on expertise and knowledge of the body. She also holds an Associate’s degree from Brigham Young University (2022). With her strong educational foundation and calm, grounded presence, Jessica creates a safe space for clients to release tension and reconnect with their bodies.

Passionate About People, Inspired by Alaska

Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find Jessica adventuring through the Alaskan wilderness with her husband and baby. Whether it’s snow machining, hiking, camping, or simply breathing in the mountain air, Jessica finds inspiration and balance in nature—and she brings that same sense of peace into every session.

Kara – Founder, Licensed Massage Therapist

Born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska, Kara brings over two decades of experience and dedication to the healing arts. After earning her undergraduate degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas, she completed her professional massage therapy training at the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City (2003–2004).

Her career has taken her from world-class spas like The Broadmoor to clinical settings such as chiropractic offices, ultimately leading her to establish New Seasons Bodywork in 2010. Since then, she has provided personalized, therapeutic care to the Soldotna community through her private practice.

Kara specializes in Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy, a technique she began using in 2019 after a sledding accident led her to adapt her approach to bodywork. She received her initial Ashiatsu training in Portland and most recently completed advanced training in the Dominican Republic in 2024.

Outside of the treatment room, Kara is a proud mother of three and works alongside her husband—New Seasons Bodywork’s in-house Certified Rolfer and Massage Therapist, Joshua Hawley.
